Karin Monstad er ein samfunnsøkonom som arbeider med empirisk forsking. Ho er særleg interessert i forskingsspørsmål som gjeld arbeidsdeltaking, helse, helsetenester og bruk av trygdeytingar. I analysen brukar ho kvantitative metodar og registerdata. Ho har også brei erfaring frå tverrfagleg forsking.
