Research on Health and Welfare Services, the Labor Market and the Social Security Sector
The research group consists of 12 researchers located in Bergen, Kristiansand and Oslo. The group has expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methods and extensive experience in the use of register data, survey data and interview data. The group's research in the field of health and welfare includes studies of various health and welfare services, the labor market and the social security sector.
We examine the services from a governmental, professional and user perspective and look at how services are shaped, function and affect the users' health and welfare. In addition, we look at how the population's needs and user participation lead to changed goals and reforms.
We study the consequences of political decisions and reforms, specifically the extent to which reforms achieve the desired effects.
