NORCE is an independent research institute that conducts research for both public and private sectors, to facilitate informed and sustainable choices for the future. We deliver research and innovation in energy, health care, climate, the environment, society and technology. Our solutions address key challenges for society and contribute to value creation on the local, national and global levels.
Corporate social responsibility is one of the cornerstones of the work conducted by NORCE and is reflected in our vision, Passion for knowledge – working together for sustainability. Cultivating knowledge to promote sustainability is the driving force behind our research.
The research conducted by NORCE will contribute to addressing societal issues and to increasing sustainable value creation at the local, national and global level. NORCE has identified four strategic focus areas, where we are gathering strength across the breadth of our research areas to enable good choices to be made for the future.

Certification
NORCE has a management system (MAPS) which is in approved compliance with the requirements given in NS-EN ISO 9001:2015 and NS-EN ISO 14001:2015.
The management system is certified by Kiwa Technological Institute certification.

The NORCE group consists of over 40 wholly and partially owned subsidiaries.
The research activities in the parent company NORCE are organized in the three divisions Health & Social Sciences, Climate & Environment, and Technology.
