Jeg forsker på arbeid, helse og evaluering av arbeidsrettede tiltak. Min doktorgrad handlet om prognostiske faktorer for retur til arbeid etter langvarig sykefravær. Kunnskap om prognostiske faktorer kan bidra til at arbeidsrettede tiltak blir mer målrettede og skreddersydde. Jeg har lang klinisk erfaring med tverrfaglig arbeidsrettet rehabilitering for personer som står i fare for å falle ut av arbeidslivet pga. sammensatte helseutfordringer. Forskningen min er praksisnær og brukerrettet knyttet til samhandling i hele tiltakskjeden (primær- og spesialisthelsetjeneste, NAV og arbeidsplass). Det å være i arbeid har dokumenterte helsegevinster også for personer med helseplager. Min forskning er derfor rettet mot hvordan et inkluderende arbeidsliv og arbeidsrettede tiltak kan bidra til mindre sosial ulikhet og økte helsegevinster gjennom arbeidsdeltakelse.
