Acoustic measurements

Working with acoustics since the 1950’s, NORCE has expertise within acoustic modelling, simulations, acoustic measurements, transducer technologies, data processing and visualization. We apply this to a variety of measurement challenges including flow measurements, condition monitoring, underwater acoustics, quality measurements, and sensing in challenging environments (e.g. high pressure/high temperature).

We contribute to industrial and academic research and development projects, where our role may range from consultancy to developing complete measurement systems. NORCE has facilities for measurements in water and gas at different temperatures and pressures, and use both in-house developed and commercial tools for acoustic simulations.
