I am a terrestrial biogeochemist and land surface modeler interested in the feedback cycles of global climate change and ecosystem carbon cycles. My work focuses on understanding changes in ecosystem C balance and its climate feedback under thawing permafrost.
My primary strength in research is in combining novel methods in field, laboratory, statistics, and Earth system modeling to understand the role of climate change feedback in the Earth system carbon cycling.
My recent research interests involve climate change impacts, not only on nature but also on society. I am particularly interested in how climate change affects people’s lives in high latitude ecosystems. I use multidisciplinary research methods to understand how the efforts to mitigate climate change affect future climate and society.
