My research interests include the application of quantitative molecular methods such as qPCR to marine conservation. My current research on the PATHDNA project is focused on applying molecular methods to assess spatial and temporal variation in the community of pathogens detected in Western Norwegian fjords. We aim to better understand how environmental pathogen profiles vary seasonally and in relation to salmon farm production-specific factors such as production cycle stage, fallowing, and well-boats.
