K2-building at Western Norway University of Sciences (HVL), Kronstad, Bergen.
All CGER network members were invited to join the CGER network meeting at Western Norway University of Sciences (HVL) in Bergen the 16th February 2023.
Here, we were given a tour of the energy system at the K2 building at HVL to learn how to integrate large ground source heat pump systems into an integrated energy system.
The K2 building is a building that produces the same amounts of energy as it produces over the year - a net zero building. Knut Kismul presented the building design and developments. Truly inspiring!

Norwegian Center for Geothermal Energy Research (CGER)
Norwegian Center for Geothermal Energy Research (CGER) was established in 2009. The Center, which has partners from all over Norway, is based in Bergen with NORCE Norwegian Research Centre AS (NORCE) as the Host Institution. CGER gathers key research and industrial partners, and builds a platform which strengthens national cooperation in research and technology development within geothermal energy research and development.
